We’re always working to improve the Ingram Micro Cloud Marketplace. By listening to our partners, our engineers continually improve functionality and features to make working within Cloud Marketplace easier and more intuitive. Here are some highlights of what’s new:
Use Your Own Purchase Order Numbers in Marketplace
You can now assign your own purchase order numbers to orders you place within the Cloud Marketplace. This will help you easily identify transactions and more quickly map them to your local ERP or accounting system during export. Here’s how it works:
1. Enter your purchase order number (including letters and/or numbers) on the Order Placement page. This value will be stored with the corresponding order and will also be propagated to your subscription for future recurring orders.
All new orders (recurring or changes) based on this subscription will be created automatically with the same PO number. For example, if you or your customers purchase additional seats, the Change Order will inherit the same PO number.
2. You can edit the PO number for existing orders through the Reseller Control Panel:
- Log in to the Reseller Control Panel
- Find and open your order
- Open the Attributes tab
- Click Edit
3. You can also edit the PO number on an existing subscription:
- Log in to the Reseller Control Panel
- Find your subscription
- Open the General tab
- Click Service Parameters
- Click Edit
Use Your Own Account IDs for End Customers in the Marketplace
We’ve added an optional field on the New Customer form that allows you to specify your own custom Account ID. Use it to search for customers in the Reseller Control Panel using the same ID you use for your other business applications. This feature makes it easier than ever to map transactions with your local ERP or accounting system during export.
1. Specify a Custom Account ID when creating a new Customer Account.
2. The new ID will be shown under Custom Account ID under the Customer list in the Reseller Control Panel. You can search this field to quickly find the right customer.
New Format of Billing Data Export
We keep improving our Billing Data Export functionality (formerly COGs report) for added convenience. New columns have been added to the reports to reveal more useful details about each of your transactions:
1. PO number – your custom order ID (see above)
2. Custom Account ID – your custom account ID (see above)
3. SKU – unique identifier for products (only available for Office 365 and Azure using Microsoft’s SKUs)
4. Source Delegated Plan ID and Source Delegated Resource ID – provide the same IDs on plans for exports of different resellers in the same country. This can come in handy for mapping tools shared between multiple resellers.
Receive an Automated Billing Data Export Report with Every Invoice
You can now receive an Automated Billing Data Export Report with every invoice issued by Ingram Micro using the following steps:
1. Create a new periodic report and include the email addresses the report should be sent to:
2. The email subject line and the attached report will refer to the invoice number, making it easy to identify which transaction is included in the report. This is what you will see as the subject line and the attachment name in the email:
- Subject: Your Ingram Micro Cloud Custom Report is ready! Export {Invoice Number}
- Report name: Export_{Invoice Number}.zip
Better Accessibility of Billing Data Export
For additional convenience, the Billing Data Export option is now available as a selection on the left side menu of the Reseller Control Panel.
Easy Access to the Billing Data Export
The Billing Data Export can be generated quickly and easily:
1. All columns are selected by default
2. The report description name is prepopulated
